Click on the LINK TO THE LEFT to learn about about Western Carolina University Mountain Dulcimer Week, to be held June 22-27, 2008 in WCU’s beautiful campus in the Smoky Mountains. Dedicated to mountain dulcimer players, for 31 years this event has set standards in teaching both authentic dulcimer styles and cutting-edge playing developments. The WCU site has Mountain Dulcimer Week’s complete catalog and easy on-line registration. Some classes are filling; registrations close June 15, 2008.

Another event you might like is the 14th Annual Swannanoa Dulcimer Week, to be held August 3-9, 2008 at the mountaintop campus of Warren Wilson College, just east of Asheville, NC. This week features classes in both mountain dulcimer and hammered dulcimer. Check out the link to the left for the on-line catalog and registration form.
