DPN Interactive
I have been working on this wing of the web site for several days now and getting really anxious to finish building the house and actually start living in it. Take a tour and let me know if any of the rooms are not accessible to your browser.
If everything is working we can begin loading in stories and such. With every issue of Dulcimer Players News there are stories that do not make it in the print edition. There is nothing wrong wrong with the stories - there just is not enough room to fit all the good material that comes our way. For instance, there has been an overwhelming reaction to the death of David Schnaufer. Deb Porter gathered a series of rememberances of David submitted by friends and students, and we simply did not have room in the last issue to do the story justice. That will be one of the first full length stories I post here.
New podcasts will follow soon. I am a huge fan of podcasting because I spent so many years working in broadcast news, both commercial and public, that I miss the art of putting together what we used to call packages. My editing days actually go all the way back to razor blade slicing and splicing together reel to reel tape in order to build stories. The speed with which you can now take an idea from interview to edit to presentation is amazing.
